The Argentine Foreign Ministry announced that, thanks to the approval of the health certificate model Proposed by the National Service of Agrifood Health and Quality (Senasa), Argentina will be able to export pork and offal to Paraguay. This milestone is the result of a joint effort between the Argentine Foreign Ministry, the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries (SAGyP) of the Ministry of Economy, and Senasa, which worked in close collaboration with Paraguayan health authorities. The market opening was officially announced during the last week of March 2025.

This progress expands the export potential of Argentine pork production, which in 2024 reached 13.885 tons, exported to destinations such as the Ivory Coast, Georgia, China, Hong Kong, and Angola, the Foreign Ministry reported in a statement.
