The National Service of Health and Agri-Food Quality (SENASA) established through Resolution 338/2025 that the procedures to obtain authorization by equivalence of veterinary products may not exceed the 30 consecutive days, ensuring greater agility and certainty in administrative processes.
In addition, the list of countries authorized for equivalence was expanded, incorporating the founding partner countries of the Southern Common Market ("MERCOSUR”) — Brazil and Paraguay —provided they meet standards equivalent to those applied in Argentina. This expansion favors the approval and circulation of veterinary products between Argentina and these countries, facilitating regional trade.
The measure complements the Resolution 333 / 2025, which established the procedure for the authorization by equivalence of veterinary products registered, manufactured and marketed in the countries included in the annex, which currently comprises:
United States of America, Japan, Kingdom of Sweden, Swiss Confederation, State of Israel, Canada, Republic of Austria, Federal Republic of Germany, French Republic, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Kingdom of the Netherlands, Kingdom of Belgium, Eastern Republic of Uruguay, Kingdom of Denmark, Kingdom of Spain and Italian Republic.
The resolution is effective immediately from May 19, 2025, the date of its publication.
