In line with what announced, The National Government created a simplified regime for the importation of small shipments of products manufactured in Tierra del Fuego, exclusively for the personal use of residents of continental Argentina. The measure was established by the Decree 334/2025, published on May 20 in the Official Gazette, and will come into effect on May 21.
The products must be manufactured under the Industrial Regime of Law 19.640 and may not be resold, as they are for personal use only by the recipient.
This new scheme is aimed at companies that are part of the promotional scheme extended by Decree 727/2021 and its amendments. The Secretariat of Industry and Commerce,as an enforcement authority, will define which products may be included, requiring in all cases proof of Fuegian origin.
Main aspects of the regime:
- Each recipient may receive up to three units of the same product per calendar year.
- The FOB value of each shipment may not exceed $3.000.
- Companies must enable a online sales system to operate under this modality.
- The operations will be subject to the conditions established by the Customs Collection and Control Agency (ARCA), which must apply simplified procedures in customs and tax matters.
According to official information, the new regime "will allow the import of lower-value goods, reducing customs clearance times."
