The President of the Nation, through the Decree No. 197/2025, has appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Alan Claudio Beraud as the new representative of Argentina to the Eastern Republic of Uruguay.
Currently, the career diplomat also works as Permanent Representative of Argentina to MERCOSUR and ALADI, functions that he will continue to perform in parallel with his new mission. His appointment was made official after the approval of the Placet de Estilo, that is, the formal authorization granted by the government of Uruguay.
The decree establishes that the expenses arising from this designation will be covered by the budget of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade, and Worship.
With this appointment, Argentina reaffirms its commitment to bilateral relations with Uruguay, as well as the importance of strengthening diplomatic ties and regional cooperation.
