Bolivia prepares to implement the WCO Temporary Release Study

The Bolivian Customs Administration carried out a National Workshop on the Study of Liberation Time (TRS) from August 29 to September 2, 2022 to develop their capacities to implement this unique tool to measure the actual performance of customs activities that directly relate to trade facilitation at the border.

The statement released this Monday (03.10.2022) explained that the training was developed within the framework of the Global Trade Facilitation Program, funded by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and implemented by the World Customs Organization (WCO).

Thus, the 25 participants from the Customs Administration and stakeholders from the public and private sectors of Bolivia They became familiar with the benefits and challenges of this tool.

Following this, work was done on mapping the business processes for the Release Time Study, and the Executive President of the National Customs Administration of Bolivia, Karina Serrudo, presented a roadmap.

Finally, the WCO announced that the Bolivian Customs Administration will soon formalize the National Working Group for the Study of Temporary Release, whose implementation will start at the end of Octobersystem. (WCO statement)
