Brazil publishes its e-book on tax and customs studies

-

The Brazilian Federal Secretariat of Taxes and Customs (Receita Federal) published its e-book comprising Tax and Customs Law Studies from the first Congress, which took place in November 2023.

This publication is intended to “debate with society issues that affect the Secretariat’s area, integrate technical and theoretical knowledge, academic studies and operational procedures, learn about international experiences and listen to the demands of the different Brazilian economic and productive segments,” the Federal Revenue Service stated in a press release.

The organization also noted that 39 authors participated in the work, including tax auditors from the Federal Treasury and other public administration authorities, professors and researchers from renowned Brazilian universities and representatives of national and international organizations.

The publication was produced with the support of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

"This work is expected to promote scientific discussion and encourage studies and research by collaborators within and outside the institution to document and disseminate technical knowledge on the law," he added.

The fundamental idea underlying the Federal Revenue initiative is identified with the strengthening of the State and society, an essential approach of a modern administration that seeks to promote higher quality services, which give taxpayers legal security and reduce litigation.Publication)
