The People's Republic of China has notified the country of the entry into force of a new certificate for beef, which allows the export of chilled and bone-in beef, the Secretariat of the Government of Agroindustry reported on Monday (03.06.2019/XNUMX/XNUMX).
The head of the portfolio, Luis Miguel Etchevehere, highlighted the consolidation of bilateral relations with China and stressed that "This is a very important step that deepens the bond between our countries, on which we have been working in a coordinated manner with officials from Senasa, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Argentine Embassy in China."
Etchevehere pointed out that "Once again, meat, our flagship product, is providing us with good signals for our economy by increasing the possibilities of exporting to the main market in the world. Argentina is a reliable supplier and meat represents a great opportunity for the growth of the agroindustry.to".
New progress has been made following the agreement that Argentina and China made a few months ago, based on which the protocols for beef were signed for the inclusion of chilled beef with and without bone and frozen beef with bone, which are added to the frozen boneless beef that was already exported, Agroindustria detailed in a statement.
By accepting the new meat certification model, beef establishments will now be able to export chilled, bone-in meat, not just frozen meat.
