This round was chaired by El Salvador, which is in charge of the Pro Tempore Presidency of the Central American Customs Union in the first half of 2023The Customs officials were accompanied by representatives of the Secretariat for Central American Economic Integration (SIECA).
According to the El Salvador Customs, reports of results and progress achieved were released, presented by four Work groups. Namely: Technical Group Normative, Technical Group IT, Technical Group of the Authorized Economic Operator,Editorial Committee CAUCA/RECAUCA and Adhoc Group for the Study of Dispatch Times at customs.
Central America has made significant progress in its integration program. However, the region faces challenges in stimulating growth and competitiveness.
